What is a website audit?
A website audit is a process carried out by our web developers to check the overall performance of your website. It measures the technical and qualitative factors that allow your site to compete with top-ranking pages, and estimates how effective your web practices are in order to identify where there might be room for improvement.
Why should I get my site audited?
If your site hasn’t been audited for at least three years, now’s the time to get it done.
Websites that haven’t been audited are likely to struggle when it comes to ranking on search engines. That’s because website auditing uncovers areas that need addressing in order to improve the overall experience.
During a website audit, we’ll look at things like SEO – a key element of great search performance. We’ll research and analyse your target market to make sure your site performs according to their expectations and requirements, check your loading speed and assess on-page SEO, including keywords, title tags and other attributes.
Alongside that, during a website audit we’ll also:
- Analyse and improve your XML sitemap
- Look at the URL structures and overall navigation
- Optimise your media files
- Add redirects to offline pages to avoid 404s
- Measure readability scores of your online content
We’ll even look at your branding and visual aesthetic, and suggest ways to strengthen your brand through design.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg, though. To find out more about what we can do for you, get in touch
